Emily Levy, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

I provide warm, compassionate and collaborative mental health support. Living with a heavy mental burden can feel incredibly isolating, whether you are managing a complex health condition, navigating identity, or trying to quiet a racing mind. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you navigate all you’ve been carrying so you can find your way back to balance.

While my door is open to individuals facing a wide variety of circumstances, I hold a deep personal passion for supporting individuals living with diabetes.

Bridging the Gap in Diabetes Care

Living with diabetes is a full-time job that you never applied for, cannot quit, and never get a vacation from. Whether you were diagnosed with Type 1, Type 2, Gestational Diabetes, or Prediabetes yesterday—or you have been quietly carrying this weight for years—you do not have to do it alone.

I chose to focus my practice on the diabetes community because there is a massive gap between medical management and emotional well-being. Diabetes distress is real and deeply exhausting.

We will work together at your pace to:

Validate the Burden: Giving you a safe space to vent about the real frustrations of daily management without fear of judgement.

Process the Diagnosis: Helping you navigate the grief, shock, confusion, or fear that often follows a new diagnosis.

Dismantle Diabetes Shame: Unpack and heal the self-blame, stigma, or societal pressure that so frequently complicates diabetes management.

Build Sustainable Resilience: Develop practical, self-compassionate coping strategies to handle diabetes burnout and medical anxiety so you can reclaim your mental energy.

Outside the Therapy Room

When I am not working with clients, you can usually find me walking my dog, going to Pilates with friends, or spending time with my husband exploring the outdoors. I believe that finding balance and practicing self-compassion in our own lives allows us to show up more fully for others.

Let’s Connect

No matter where you are on your diabetes journey—whether you are feeling overwhelmed, angry, terrified, or just plain tired. You deserve a space where you can step out of the “patient” role and just be a human being who is seen, heard, and supported.
